Zev is an elite hunter and an alpha. He is a Hän ku pesäk kaikak, but he was raised as a normal Lycan by his father.
In Dark Lycan, Zev goes to a meeting with the Carpathian people and sees his future lifemate, Branislava Dragonseeker, and dances with her well into the night. He was injured in a battle in Dark Wolf, trying to aid Dimitri.
He was adopted by Fenris and Dimitri in Dark Blood after spending some time in the ground. He learned that he was of a family that carried Dark Blood, believed to have died out with his grandmother, Catalina. He was accepted by the ancients into the Tirunul family and that is how he learns of his connection to the Carpathian people.
