Gunnolf was an elite hunter within the Lycan community and a member of the Sacred Circle. It was Gunnolf who put silver handcuffs on Dimitri and arrested him for being a Sange rau. It turned out that he and Convel were trying to unseat Zev and were going against the Lycan Council's decision by torturing Dimitri. For Gunnolf, killing Zev was a job, to weed out those who didn't uphold the "sacred code." He was killed by Zev when they fought over who would be alpha, though Gunnolf cheated.
